Old SalemThe historical significance of Winston Salem is no more evident than in Old Salem. Homes in the area were built in the mid-1700s and have been meticulously preserved creating a living museum. Be sure to stop in and visit the Winkler Bakery and try their Moravian sugar cake, and cookies which are still baked in a 200 year old oven. The Tavern in Old Salem is one of the most unique restaurants in the area offering locally farmed dining in a home constructed in the early 1800s!
High Rock LakeLexington is home to the second largest lake in North Carolina spanning across both Davidson and Rowan counties. With over 360 miles of shoreline there's plenty of room to call this lake home. Boating, fishing and other watersports are common in the area and public access points are scattered throughout Davidson and Rowan counties.
Bob Timberlake GalleryLocal artist Bob Timberlake has long captured the spirit of the Carolina countryside through paintings, furnishings, and artwork. Located just a few miles from downtown Lexington is his gallery of artwork where you can spend hours shopping, exploring or just relaxing. Be sure to stop in and grab a cup of coffee at the Riverwood Coffee Shop located just inside the gallery!
Emerald PointeLocated in Greensboro with over 40 acres and 3,000,000 gallons of water, Wet 'n Wild Emerald Pointe is the largest water park in both North and South Carolina. It boasts over 36 rides including Daredevil's drop, a 76ft near vertical drop that every thrill seeker is guaranteed to love. For the less adventurous, you can always take a ride on the relaxing lazy river or wade in thunder bay, a two million gallon wave pool.
Körner's FollyBuilt in 1880 in Kernersville by artist and designer Jule Gilmer Körner, Körner's Folly is one of the most unique homes in North Carolina. The home boasts 22 rooms over three floors and seven levels with ceiling heights ranging from 5-1/2 feet to 25ft. The home originally served as a catalog for Körner's clients to view his work and is filled with unique architetural nuances furnishings and historical artwork.
Carolina TheaterOpened on Halloween night in 1927, Greensboro's Carolina Theater is only remaining historical theater in the state. The 2200 seat theater was one of the first air conditioned commercial buildings in the state and was billed as the "Showplace of the Carolinas". Today the theater is still a fully operational performing arts theater featuring live shows, music and more. Be sure to check them out and take a step back into the ambiance of an earlier era!

Childress VineyardsOwned by NASCAR team owner Richard Childress, Childress Vineyards in Lexington, NC is a world class winery. They produce over 30 unique wines on this 72 acre site and host weddings, events and tastings. The bistro restaurant is located inside the winery and is open daily. Hanging RockAre you feeling like you need an outdoor adventure? Hanging Rock State Park is just 30 miles north of Winston Salem located in Danbury, North Carolina. Hanging rock trail is one of the more popular trails that leads to the amazing views at the top of the iconic hanging rock and is a must see if you visit the park. The park also contains 5 waterfalls, the largest being a spectacular 40ft waterfall named Lower Cascades that has a perfect swimming hole at the bottom.
Greensboro ColiseumIf you’re looking for anything from music to sporting events the Greensboro Coliseum Complex in Greensboro, North Carolina has you covered.
